Within the study of mosaics, we can differentiate two kinds of mosaics. At first, we can observe the regular mosaics, which have composed by regular polygons and every polygon must be the same that the others. We can see an example of regular mosaics in the next picture:
Secondly, we can observe the another kind of mosaics called semi-regular mosaics, which have formed by regular polygons which can be different from each others. An example are:
